Birba is aware of consumer needs and so it is introducing two new gluten-free products. Celiac disease increases every year in Spain at a rate of 15% and already affects about 1% of the population, although it is estimated that “many more people have it” but are not diagnosed.
To date Nuria’s only gluten-free product has been Nuria gluten-free with soya, made like all Birba biscuits only with natural ingredients: rice flour, fresh eggs and olive oil. Now we are adding to the range with two new products, Nuria gluten-free chocolate and Nuria gluten-free Mini Xoco, two delicious varieties also made with natural ingredients and with all the flavour of chocolate. It is precisely this flavour that consumers most appreciate about our gluten-free range and which they say makes it stand out from other gluten-free biscuits.
We’ve also changed the design of the packaging so the Gluten-free range can easily be picked out from among all Birba products.
