{"id":3211,"date":"2017-06-06T16:44:29","date_gmt":"2017-06-06T14:44:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.birba.es\/en\/?p=3211"},"modified":"2019-06-11T11:04:07","modified_gmt":"2019-06-11T09:04:07","slug":"birba-takes-part-in-international-coeliac-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.birba.es\/en\/birba-takes-part-in-international-coeliac-day\/","title":{"rendered":"Birba takes part in International Coeliac Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the morning of 21 May 2017, International Coeliac Day was celebrated at the Barcelona Forum to mark the 40<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.celiacscatalunya.org\/\">Associaci\u00f3 Cel\u00edacs de Catalunya<\/a> (Coeliac Association of Catalonia).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Partnered by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bancsang.net\/en_index\/\">Banc de Sang i Teixits <\/a>(Blood and Tissue Bank) and featuring activities such as improvisations, dances and gluten-free Catalan sausages for all attendees, a fun, festive and culinary day was had by all. In addition 34 companies took part in this event which brings together over 4,000 people in Catalonia every year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/celiac.org\/celiac-disease\/understanding-celiac-disease-2\/what-is-celiac-disease\/\">Coeliac disease<\/a> is a digestive ailment that currently affects 1% of the population and at Galetes Camprodon we are committed to supplying gluten-free alternatives for these people.
