As some of you already know, in 2014 Birba<\/a> was awarded the Girona Excel\u00b7lent<\/a> quality seal which is presented by Girona Provincial Council and the Chamber of Commerce to promote the best products in Girona province.<\/p>\n

Specifically, the award-winning product was Ametllats<\/a>, one of the firm\u2019s flagship products as it is one of our most traditional as well as lactose-free and suitable for coeliacs.<\/p>\n

To talk about it, last summer we went along to the online programme Pa\u00eds en ruta<\/em><\/a> (see the full story here<\/a>). And a few days ago we visited the radio programme Deixa\u2019m tastar<\/em><\/a> on Cadena Ser Catalunya<\/a>, a food show presented by X\u00e8nia Roset<\/a> and Marc Orozco<\/a> which looks at Catalonia\u2019s culinary heritage.<\/p>\n

This time round they interviewed our marketing manager, M\u00aa \u00c1ngeles Moreno. They talked about Birba\u2019s beginnings and history<\/a>, our handcraft processes<\/a> and the natural ingredients<\/a> we use, our biscuit varieties and ranges, the new tin for our 125th<\/sup> anniversary featuring an adaptation of an old original print (see the print here<\/a>), our select chocolate<\/a> assortment, our Nuria<\/a> biscuits, etc., which are always palm oil free<\/a>.<\/p>\n
