With the help of one of the heirs of the founders we have recently discovered that in fact our first biscuits were made in the late 19th century and not in 1910 as we had previously thought.
Research has uncovered evidence that our biscuits were already being produced and marketed in 1893 along with fine sponge cakes and other confectionery products.
The emergence of a price list for biscuits from 1908 led to the investigation which concluded with the finding of the new date.
So we can proudly say that our biscuits have been made by hand since the late 19th century, always with high quality natural ingredients and always faithful to the ancient recipes of the Master Pastry Chefs of the time
