Last June Birba had the chance to take part in “País en ruta”, an online magazine programme which tours Catalunya’s towns to report on the province’s treasures.
This time round the programme looked at the town of Sant Joan de les Abadesses and talked about its cultural options, recreational activities and cuisine.
Birba, which has the Girona Excel·lent food quality seal awarded by Girona Provincial Council and the Chamber of Commerce to promote producers in the province, featured in the programme in an interview with Esther Puig, our Quality Manager, as Camprodon is close to Sant Joan de les Abadesses.

In the interview Esther talked about the handcraft process Birba has followed since its beginnings and the natural ingredients it uses and also about how we support local producers. She put special emphasis on consumer demand for sugar-free products which Birba meets with its Nuria range (Sugar-free chocolate and With plums no added sugar).
