On the morning of 21 May 2017, International Coeliac Day was celebrated at the Barcelona Forum to mark the 40th anniversary of the Associació Celíacs de Catalunya (Coeliac Association of Catalonia).
Partnered by the Banc de Sang i Teixits (Blood and Tissue Bank) and featuring activities such as improvisations, dances and gluten-free Catalan sausages for all attendees, a fun, festive and culinary day was had by all. In addition 34 companies took part in this event which brings together over 4,000 people in Catalonia every year.
Coeliac disease is a digestive ailment that currently affects 1% of the population and at Galetes Camprodon we are committed to supplying gluten-free alternatives for these people. As a result Birba was one of the firms to take part in this event at which we presented our range of gluten-free products.
